Taha Aksoy

Chairman of the Board

After graduating from METU Civil Engineering Department, Taha Aksoy completed his master's degree in the same department.

He worked as an Assistant at METU, a Research Assistant at Munich Technical University, and a Lecturer at Melik Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. In his long work experience, he held various senior management positions and assumed roles in various boards and associations: METU Academic Council Member, Betonsan AŞ. General Manager, AFA İnşaat A.Ş. Project Manager and Deputy General Manager, Çimentaş Group Planning Coordinator and Executive Board Member, Beşer Balatacılık A.Ş. General Manager, ATAY Holding A.Ş. Commerce Group President and Executive Board Member, 23rd World Inter-University Summer Games General Coordinator and Chairman of the Executive Board President of Turkish Gas Concrete Producers Association, European Gas Concrete Association Board Member, Turkish Prefabricated Union Board Member, Chamber of Civil Engineers, METU Alumni Association, ESİAD and TÜSİAD.

Taha Aksoy, who served as an İzmir Deputy in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey between 2007 and 2011, speaks English at a very good level and German at a good level.

Cenker Mirzaoğlu

Board Member and CEO

After completing his high school education at Adana Anatolian High School, Cenker Mirzaoğlu graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in 1996.

He started his professional career as a Strategy and Business Development Specialist at BetonSA, one of the Sabancı Group companies, and later assumed different managerial roles in strategy, business development, R&D and general management in both domestic and international operations at Group companies Akçansa and Çimsa. In 2011, he assumed the role of General Manager at Çimbeton, one of the Çimentaş Group companies, and later served as the Çimentaş Group Sales and Marketing Director. He was appointed as the General Manager of ÇİMKO Cement and Concrete in 2015 and was appointed as the CEO and Member of the Board of Directors in the same company in 2017. Cenker Mirzaoğlu, who rejoined Çimentaş Group since June 2019, continues his career as a Member of the Board of Directors and CEO. In addition to being a member of the Board of Directors at TÇMB and ÇEİS institutions and a board member at TÇMB, he also continues to serve as the "Treasurer of the Board of Directors".

Mirzaoğlu, who has more than 20 years of experience in the construction, cement and ready-mixed concrete industry, speaks English very well.

Marco Maria Bianconi

Deputy Chairman of the Board

Marco Maria Bianconi graduated from LUISS University with a degree in Economics in 1988 and got MBA degree from New York University's Stern School of Business in 1996.

Bianconi, who started his career in 1989 in IRI Rome, worked as Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Fidelity Investments UK, Finance Director at Caltagirone S.p.A, and Plan, Budget and Control Director and M&A and IR Director at Cementir Holding SpA. Bianconi, who is a member of the Board of Directors of many companies in China, Malaysia and America, still works as Business Development Director at Cementir Holding SpA.

Marco M.Bianconi, who speaks English, Spanish and Italian very well, has a Certified Public Accountant and IMC Certificate.

Pasquale Vetrano

Board Member

Pasquale Vetrano graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic Federico II University and received his MA from IMD Business School in Switzerland.

A manager with many years of experience in multinational companies, Vetrano has worked for the ABB Group for close to 25 years. He worked in Italy from Operations to Supply Chain, then held different management positions in Zurich, the company headquarters, as Divisional Supply Chain Manager and Group Vice President. Vetrano, who spent a significant part of his working time abroad in countries such as China, India, the Middle East, North-Central Europe and North Africa, joined Cementir Holding in 2011 as the Group Strategic Procurement Officer and became the Group Global Procurement Officer in 2017.

Vetrano, who has served on the Board of Directors of Çimentaş and Recydia (Turkey) and CCB (Belgium) since April 2017 as a Member of the Executive Board of Spartan Hive, the trading company of the Cementir Group, and as a Member of the Assigned Board of Directors of Cementir Holding since June 2018. He is fluent in English and Italian.

Paolo Regoli

Board Member

After graduating from Sapienza University, Department of Economics in 1996, Paolo Regoli completed his Master's in Finance at Aston Business School in England.

A senior manager with over 20 years of experience in Finance and Management in a variety of positions, companies and markets, Regoli began his career in the UK working for the Italian stainless steel producer AST Group, part of the German ThyssenKrupp Group. In 2006, he served as the Italian Holding Group Control Manager. After working as Group Control Manager and Export Manager at TK Acciai Speciali Terni, the European leader in the food packaging industry, in 2009, he worked as CFO in Rarum Group & AG Luxury Group, a small but dynamic business in the architectural and luxury hotel industry, in 2017.

Regoli, who has been working for Cementir Holding SpA since 2018, works as the Head of Group Planning, Budget and Control, and speaks English and Italian very well.

İlhan F. Gürel

Board Member

After graduating from Durham University Mechanical Engineering, Ilhan Feyzi Gürel completed his master's degree at Newcastle University in the same field.

Sunel T.T.A.S. İlhan Feyzi Gürel, who continues his duty as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kütaş Tarım Ürünleri Dış Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş., Kütaş Group Companies and Gürel Gayrimenkul A.Ş., speaks English very well.

Bahri Zuhal

Independent Board Member

Bahri Zuhal graduated from Ege University, Department of Chemistry in 1974.

Zuhal, who started his professional career within Yaşar Holding, has gained international experience in the production and marketing of Group products, mainly metal packaging, paint and textile chemicals, during his tenure. His responsibilities include establishing offices and companies abroad, analyzing and preparing pre-marketing research, and developing related business strategies.

Bahri Zuhal, who continued his career in Çimentaş Group from 1998 to the end of 2011, held senior management positions in cement marketing and ready mixed concrete.

Working as Çimbeton Ready Mixed Concrete Director until 2011, Zuhal still works as an Independent Member of the Board of Directors at Çimentaş Group and speaks English and French very well.

Mehmet Cemali Dinçer

Independent Board Member

Prof. Dr. Cemali Dinçer graduated from METU Industrial Engineering Department. Afterwards, he went to Stanford University in the USA with a NATO scholarship, where he received a master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Statistics and a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management.

Being in the first academic staff of Bilkent University in 1986, upon working at Bilkent University for 10 years, Dinçer moved to the private sector and served as the General Manager of Yeni Asır newspaper. Dinçer, who founded the Faculty of Communication and the Faculty of Computer Sciences, the Department of Software Engineering, the Department of Computer Engineering, the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering, and the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Izmir University of Economics, was appointed as the General Manager of IzAIR (Izmir Airlines) in 2006. He worked as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Istanbul Bilgi University in 2011. After working as a member of the Izmir Science Park Advisory Board and Vice Rector of IUE, he has worked at the Department of Industrial Engineering at Yaşar University since 2014.

Prof. Dr. Cemali Dinçer has been serving as the Rector of Yaşar University since 2015 and has received awards from national and international universities, including Stanford University. Dinçer, who speaks English very well, has many articles, books and projects.
